Sara Najjar-Wilson was the President of ADC and ADC Research
Institute from March 1, 2010, to June 30, 2011. Sara had
previously served in the Federal Civil Service. She was an
Assistant General Counsel and a Senior Attorney in the NASA
Office of the General Counsel, National Aeronautics and Space
Administration (NASA) Headquarters, Washington, DC. While at
NASA, Sara was the legal counsel in innumerable legal matters --
she represented NASA in "high profile" activities (including the
reentry of Skylab; the Challenger accident; and the Galileo,
Ulysses, and Cassini Missions).
Sara is a former Trial Attorney with the Civil Division of the U.S.
Department of Justice. She also had served as Chairperson of the
Federal Litigation Section of the Federal Bar Association (FBA);
faculty and a planning board member of the FBA's Federal Practice
Institute; Vice-Chair of the FBA Federal Tort Law Committee; and a
member of the Board of Directors of the FBA's DC Chapter. In
addition, Sara had served as the Program Chairperson of the
Washington Foreign Law Society.
Sara is a graduate of the University of South Carolina (USC),
Columbia, SC, with a Bachelor of Arts in International Relations,
and a Juris Doctor from the USC School of Law. She is a member
of the District of Columbia (DC) Bar; the Bars of the U.S. Court of
Federal Claims, the Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit, and
the Court of Appeal for the DC Circuit; and the U.S. Supreme Court
Bar.
Sara is of Lebanese-Arabic heritage. She is the recipient of the
NASA Exceptional Service Medal and many other honors and
awards. Sara is married to Robert C. Wilson, who is from Beulah,
MI, and a graduate of the University of Michigan. She and Robert
reside in Virginia, USA.
